There is no definite number of posts mentioned by the AdSense to get approved so people are approximately publishing around 30-50 articles and applying for AdSense.
Sometimes if Google AdSense reviewer feel the number of posts is less in your blog there may be chances of rejecting it, to be in safer side continue publishing more posts even after submitting then the chance of getting approval becomes higher and you are ready to use the ads on your blog once they have approved.
Before submitting your blog make sure all technical things are done properly like sitemap, on-page SEO, submitting to the webmaster, etc. Apart from these you should have About us, contact us, privacy policy pages because the AdSense reviewer will check those, so make sure it is written professionally and with accurate information before you submit.
