Republic day is the National festival of India. We celebrate this important day on 26th January every year. On 26th January 1950, India became a republic, our Constitution came into force on this day. The constitution of India is the supreme law of India and it is the largest written constitution in the world. It gives us fundamental rights such as freedom of speech, education, religion, and more.
Every year, this day is celebrated with great pride and happiness to remember our past and show the progress of our nation to the world. On this auspicious occasion in Delhi, our President hosts the flag, and a parade is organized on Rajpath from Vijay Chowk to India Gate. In this parade, various cultural events take place showcasing the strength of the Armed force with their vigor, enthusiasm, and weaponry. Bravery awards are also given to the citizens and children of the nation to motivate people and bring a sense of nationalism and pride to the nation.
Schools, colleges, and other educational institutions prepare their students to get involved in either competitions, debates, etc… Not only schools but even offices, and local and state Governments celebrate with the public. The common man enjoys the day with 3 colors everywhere including watching patriotic movies which are shown on television channels.
Republic day inspires us to maintain the Unity, Equality, and pride of our nation. Our nation is the greatest nation in the world but let us strive to make it even better.
